Back in July 2019, Ronda and Alee opened a Pressure Cleaning business in South Florida, offering services such as roof and driveway cleaning, paver repair, and sealing of pool areas, decks, and driveways. Now on their fifth round of funding with Capital Funds, we spoke to Ronda about why they initially sought financial assistance and what keeps them returning.
Need for Capital
The business is a two-person operation, with Ronda handling administrative tasks and Alee completing the jobs on-site. The company hadn’t been operating for long before the pandemic hit in early 2020, which created cash flow challenges.
“With the pandemic, some of the customers wouldn’t pay right away after work was completed, so cash flow was a bit slow,” Ronda explained. To maintain operations, they began exploring financing options and turned to Capital Funds.
The first three rounds of funding were used as working capital to keep the business running while customer payments were delayed—often by 30–60 days. The affordable payments from Capital Funds made sense for their business during that period.
Once operations stabilized, they secured a fourth round of financing to purchase a truck, replacing the trailer they had been attaching to an existing vehicle. Now, on their fifth round, they’ve upgraded the truck to include a larger capacity machine, allowing them to take on bigger jobs and complete smaller jobs more efficiently. This additional capacity opens new opportunities for growth.

“The payment options that you offer are not a large amount, so we could afford to pay it every day,” she said.
