Brett Kahl of Lynxsystems, based out of Kirkland, Washington, talked to us about what Capital Funds’ professionalism and flexibility meant to him during the pandemic.
Why did you look for capital?
Lynxsystems provides IT solutions to commercial properties – our product automates building controls. Since I founded the company, I contributed a lot of the capital to get it started. To get our technology to the next level and be eligible for venture capital funding, I needed additional capital.
Why did you choose Capital Funds?
I don’t have an extensive credit history, so I appreciated that Capital Funds put together an offer that was more than reasonable. Other offers I received required much higher rates and were not a good fit for our business.
How did COVID-19 impact your business?
One of our main contracts for the year shut down. Capital Funds reduced the payments and worked with me to get back on track. It was a tough time for our business, and I appreciated how they took the pressure off of worrying about how I would pay the balance until our business was in a more stable position.
